Mid Century Modern "Mad Men" Style

Betty Draper on set looking demure and elegant. You see it everywhere, from House Beautiful to Mid Century Modernist, so I thought StylePath should take part in lauding the interior design of the hit series "Mad Men". It really is undeniably chic and impeccably done and surely not “textbook mid-century modern America” as Dan Bishop, Production Designer of the "Mad Men" set explains.

Sleek chrome, vinyl and teak wood are at the forefront of this ‘60s style with a mix of 50s and 40s thrown in to make it authentic. Danish modern takes front stage in Don Draper's office with an all teak desk. The sofas in other areas of the office are boxy very reminiscent of Herman Miller’s Goetz Sofa.

If you like the "Mad Men" look, StylePath has all the resources you need to create your uber-chic mid-century pad. Take a look at these designs from Eames, Herman Miller and Saal.
