David Scherer Original Modern Wall Clocks

American artist David Scherer is anything but repressed. He works in a wide variety of mediums and creates quirky 3D wall clocks that double as works of art . His design philosophy—fusing an explosion of colors, textures and uncommon objects and materials together and creating an even more uncommon objects of art. He’s been at it for over 30 years and has his art in private and corporate collections around the world. He signs each piece so you know he created it, but who would have to even look for a handwritten signature as his design style is his true signature. Fun and a little off kilter, these modern clocks are interesting enough to make you want to buy one or two and even maybe start a collection.

Pass the Time in Handcrafted Style

Time is going to pass no matter what, so why not do it in style with these respective clocks and time pieces. Clockmakers once assembled all clocks by hand, but modern manufacturing practices have all internal clock workings done by machines.  However, we picked the following clocks for you based on their handcrafted exteriors.

He’s been designing modern and contemporary art, mirrors and clocks for over 30 years. His techniques involve brushing and grinding aluminum by hand and with a grinding disc.  

Ever wonder what time it was in New York or Beijing? Never be in the dark again with the Time Zones Clock from Bellacor. Made of hand forged metal in a heavily distressed dark brown wash hung on a wrought iron rod, these five times reflect local time, Beijing, Sydney, New York and Moscow.
